Letter from the desk
This journal began as a city notebook on the desk by the window — pages I did not intend to publish until a friend said the cadence felt useful to another reader. Voice Drift is the result: quiet longform from Katong, offered without funnels or performance metrics.
I write in first person because personal essay demands it. Essays that drift move at walking pace; they pause at shopfronts, listen for rain, return home to revise.
If you have a reader letter, reprint request or guest-essay suggestion, write via the contact form during SGT publishing hours. I read everything; replies follow when volume allows.
